Edwards Sr., Windle Jackson

Windle Jackson “Jack” Edwards, Sr., 66, of Draper, VA passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007 in Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born in Pulaski County on December 14, 1940, he was the son of the late John William and Ellen Bryson Edwards. Jack was a retired carpenter.

Surviving are his girlfriend, and best friend, Judy Thompson, of the home in Draper. Daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy and Mike Montgomery, Dublin; and Susan and Marvin Grubb, Austinville; sons and daughters-in-law, Terrence and Vanessa Edwards, Draper, Jeffery and Anna Edwards, Barren Springs. Sisters, Joyce Secrist, Carole Carter, Freda Pugh, Margaret Horton, and Elizabeth Worrell; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and good friends, Frank and Brenda Weddle.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19 at 1 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Chinault officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery, Draper. Visiting will be Monday evening with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
