Edwards, Sandra Kay

Sandra Kay Edwards, 61, of Roanoke County, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at her home. Born in Pulaski February 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late George Arthur Edward Sr. and Katherine Jones Edwards. She was employed by Carilion Hospital. Surviving are her children, Ghislaine and Jim Cady, Woody and Liz Phillips, Heath and Christy Shomaker; sister, Janis Fender; brother, Steve Edwards; grandchildren, Tyler, John, Kate and Noah Phillips, Shavannah and Sean Cady, Caleb and Mekenzie Shomaker, Jadon Gallimore; many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 4 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends and family one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial gifts to be made to the Children Miracle Network Hospitals, C/O Erin Heldreth, Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA 24014.
