Edwards, Katherine Jones

Katherine Jones Edwards, 81, of Draper, died Saturday December 9, 2006 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 21, 1925 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Ruby Hall Jones and John Wesley Jones. Mrs. Edwards had worked for many years at Jefferson Mills and retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Arthur Edwards, Jr. and her son, George Arthur “Rusty” Edwards, III. Surviving are her two daughters, Sandra K. Edwards of Roanoke, and Janis Edwards Fender of Sparta, N.C.; one son, John Steven Edwards and his wife Terry of Dublin; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Edwards of Snowville. Also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 12, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons with the Rev. Rick Jarrell and Jeffrey Woodson Phillips, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
