Dove, Carl Edward, age 73, of Floyd died, Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, Va on January 14, 1941 to the late John and Claudine Dove. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Howard Dove. hHe is survived by his wife, Ellen Dove, daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Dunham Short, of Lexington, sister, Carolyn Dove, of Indiana, brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Betty Dove, of Blacksburg. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Kittinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm Thursday at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
