Edenton Jr., Lee W.

Lee W. (Shorty) Edenton Jr., 84, of Spotsylvania, Va., and formerly of Blacksburg, Va., died on Monday, December 29, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Edenton retired from Electro-Tec in Blacksburg after 39 years of service. He was also a member of Centennial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in McCoy.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009, at Covenant Funeral Service, 4801 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, Va. 22408, with the Rev. Mike Nickle officiating. Interment will follow in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Spotsylvania. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5601 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, Va. 22551.
