Eaton, Gregory Riggins

Gregory Riggins Eaton, 57 of Rich Creek, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 21, 2006 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, Va.

He was brought to this earth on September 5, 1949 at Pearisburg, Va. He is the son of Emory L. Eaton of Rich Creek, Va., and the late Louise Riggins Eaton. In addition to his mother, Gregory was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Dreama Eaton. Gregory was a former employee of the Celanese Corp., Narrows, Va., and was a devoted member of the Peterstown Christian Church.

In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 31 years, Marion Shepherd Eaton; one son, Andrew Eaton of Rich Creek, Va.; one sister, Carolyn Markle and husband Larry of Pearisburg, Va.; one brother, Gary Eaton and wife Marsha of Rich Creek, Va.; one sister, Brenda Smith and husband Dale of Rich Creek, Va.; nieces and nephews, Kim Turner, Dina Stewart, Jeff Smith, Angela Williams, Denise Reynolds, April Luck, and Jason Markle; and six great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday December 26, 2006 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, W.Va., with Minister Donald Henegar officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rich Creek, VA. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of services Tuesday.
