Easter Sr., Floyd James

Floyd James Easter Sr., 69, of Radford, Va., died on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Duke University Hospital. He was a member and usher of the Gethsemane Baptist Church. He was loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ruby Easter; and a brother, Joe B. Stump Jr. Surviving are a wife, Julia P. Easter; son and daughter-in-law, Floyd James Jr. and Laura Easter; daughter, Lisa Edwards; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Robert Panel; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
