Early, Ruby Dove

Ruby Dove Early, 85, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Oak Haven of Floyd. She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on December 18, 1923, to the late Harvey and Ada Reed Dove and went to be with her husband of 53 years, George William Early; and also a daughter, Margaret Bullion.

Ruby was a member of the Riverview Holiness Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lila and Roy Yopp, of Elliston, Wilma and Kenny Dickerson, of Christiansburg; her sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Liz Early, of Galax, Wayne and Carol Early, of Christiansburg; sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Floyd Robinson, of Blacksburg, Elsie Fugate, of Pembroke, Jane Robinson, of Christiansburg; sisters-in-law, Thelma Dove, of Blacksburg, Wanda Hopkins, Faye Early, Stella Linkous, Mary Alls, Mary McDaniel, all of Christiansburg; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; eleven greatgrandchildren; six stepgreatgrandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darrell Linkous and Eddie Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
