Eanes, Lucille Whitlock

Lucille Whitlock Eanes, 66, a lifetime resident of Check, Va., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 6, 2008.

She was a devoted loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid supporter and member of the Women of the Moose for 35 years. She was born July 15, 1941 in Check, Va. to the late Sherman L. and Frances Whitlock.

She had recently retired from Wolverine Gasket in Blacksburg, Va. after 11 years of service. With her cheerful smile and attitude she touched the lives of countless people. She will be deeply missed by her Moose Lodge family, her work family, and most of all by her immediate family.

Lucille is survived by her son, Marvin B. Eanes, Jr. of Check, Va. and daughter-in-law, Becky Eanes, of Copper Hill, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Richard Olmo, Jr.; beloved granddaughter, Mykayla Eanes, of Copper Hill, Va.; sister, Glenna W. Turner, of Pilot, Va.; special niece and her husband, Beverly and David Herring, of Pilot, Va.; special nephew, Michael W. Turner, of Narrows, Va.; several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2008, at Gardner Funeral Home, with Elder W. T. Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at Gardner Funeral Home, where the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangement by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd, VA 745-2007.
