Eagle, Louise Smith

Louise Smith Eagle, 66, of Norris Run, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County, Va., on June 21, 1940 to the late Ray and Mallie Huffman Smith and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wilford Eagle.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was a member of Fairview Community Church.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol E. and Jeff Wright of Norris Run, Robin Eagle and Jon Thompson of Moneta; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Linda and James Law of Piney View, W.Va., Donna and husband Kenneth Legg of Mt. Nebo, W.Va.; two sons, Gary Bland of Blacksburg and Adam Eagle of Norris Run; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathleen Dillon of Spruce Run, Lola and Bill Dowdy of Norris Run, Pansy Price of Pulaski, Dorothy and Maxwell Reynolds of Norris Run, Mary Dowdy of Blacksburg, and Josephine Farley of Draper; sisters-in-law, Melva Hughes; special friend, Adelle Jones; seven grandchildren, Leslie, Bryan, Zack, Gabrielle, Cole, and Jacob; special nephew, Jeffery Whitaker (Teeny); and many other special friends and family.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Lee Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, Norris Run. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Tuesday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
