Donald Travis Dye, 47 of Pembroke, VA departed this life August 5, 2021, at John Randolph Medical Center, surrounded by the loving care of his wife and brother. Born in Aurora, Colorado on July 26, 1974, he was a son of Ann Trout Gore and the late Bill Joe Dye.

Travis was known for his charm, a gentle touch, tall stories of adventure, hunting, and fishing, accepting a challenge of any feat, he would meet you with a little mischievous crooked smile. Perhaps only afraid of spiders. Having the biggest heart, he had a passion for animals, especially that of his puppies he leaves behind; Wilson, Ellie and Dottie. In addition, he loved his family and being a member and owner of Laural Lodge Hunt Club.

Left to cherish his memories to their hearts are his wife, Millie G. Dye of 18 years to which he shared an unconditional love, you can almost hear them say I Love you today; his mother, Ann Trout Gore (Wayne) of South Carolina; a son, Christian Dye of North Carolina; stepson, Lucas Stevers (Kacie); brother, David Saleeba III (Julie) of York, SC; a sister, Gaylynne Greak of Rosharon, Texas, his granddaughter, Vayda Louise Stevers; the boys who had the fortune to call him Uncle T, David Saleeba IV, and Donnie Saleeba; his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Judy Gillispie; and his Laural Lodge brothers.
