kinkade-evening-forestSean David Durham, 49, of Blacksburg, crossed over 4th of July so he had the best view of the fireworks that he loved. He was loved and supported by his mother Katherine, father Wayne, brothers Mark and Joshua, sister Rebecca, and close friend Cheryl who stood by him throughout the years. He died after a short battle with lung cancer. Sean loved the lifestyle of Floyd County and being at the top of a crane guiding a timber beam in place. He was a carpenter and a woodcrafter, known for his artistic spheres inside a frame. He was clever of mind and hand. His was not a life he had hoped for but he always tried to move forward through the adversity, searching for the best in it, and met his last days with strength and courage. The first song he ever sang was “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head.” We will miss him and ask him to watch over us. Services will be held privately. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
