Dunn, Steven Edward

Steven Edward Dunn, age 59, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 5, 1963, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of the late James Edward and Mildred Lorene Burke Dunn. Steve had worked for the Town of Rich Creek. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Also, he enjoyed cooking meals on the grill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Jean Dunn; two brothers, Buzzy Suttle and Ricky Dunn; brother-in-law, Jack Grimmett; and nephew, Christopher Greenlief. Survivors include one daughter, Shona Dunn of Narrows, VA; one stepson, John Dunn of Pembroke, VA; one brother, Roger Dunn (Pam) of Narrows, VA; five sisters, Sue Martin, Sherry McCrady, and Lisa Dunn, all of Narrows, VA, and Linda Thornhill and Teresa Grimmett, both of Pearisburg, VA; sister-in-law, Ann Suttle of Pembroke, VA; two grandchildren, Tristan Dunn and Jenny Shrewsberry; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
