Dunford, Ruby Faye Lawson

Ruby Faye Lawson Dunford, 69, of Narrows, went to be with her husband, Barnett Ray Dunford, on Sunday, May 13, 2007.

She was born in Beckley, West Virginia on June 14, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Willie Jasper and Ruby Blanche Perkins Lawson. In addition to her husband, mother and father, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jay Lawson, Ralph Lawson, and Paul Lawson.

Faye was employed for over 20 years with Johnny’s Tall Boy restaurant in Narrows, and will always be remembered for her hard work and dedication to her family.

She is survived by two sons, Benny Ray Dunford and wife Linda of Pearisburg, Tony Dean Dunford of Narrows; a daughter, Ruby Colangelo and husband Ron of Longwood, Florida; four grandchildren, Benny Dunford, Jr., Vanessa Law, Rachel Dunford, Nicole Colangelo; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Law and Kailyn Law; one brother, Bucky Lawson and wife Judie; two sisters, Evelyn Ratcliffe, Delores (Dee) Johnston and husband Jimmy, all of Narrows; five sisters-in-law, Jeanie Lawson, Janet Lawson, Sue Lawson, Marlene Dunford and husband Dana, and Freda Dunford and husband Tommy; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Angel’s Rest Cemetery.
