Maxine Virginia Pullin Dunford, 83, of Riner, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2006. Her parents, Wilbur and Leona Delphrey Pullin, and four loving brothers preceded her in death.

Maxine was a true angel of God evident by her beautiful smile and her ability to make all that were around her feel peace and happiness. As a wife, she was always beside Bill, supporting and loving him with all her heart for 55 and half years. As a mother, no one will ever compare. She was always there for her children showing them love and compassion through every step of their lives. As a grandmother, we are ever so grateful to her for sharing her values, as she will always be shining through their eyes. Her husband, children and their spouses, and grandchildren will always remember her as the angel who was always there for them.

She is survived by her husband, William Franklin Dunford; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Ellie St. Pierre, Michael and Shirley Dunford; daughters and son-in-law, Pat Odum, Susan and Glen Duncan; grandchildren, Scott St. Pierre, Michelle Odum, Krista Humphrey, Shane Duncan, Brandon Duncan; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Andrew Humphrey, Rachael and Adam St. Pierre; stepgrandchildren, Clay Bowman, Kevin Bowman; uncle and wife, Floyd and Elizabeth Pullin; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 409 Ridgeview Road NW, Floyd, with the Rev. Richard Thomas and the Rev. Ralph Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call at Maberry Funeral Home after 12 noon on Saturday, July 22, 2006 where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
