kinkade-stairs-to-heavenMrs. Mary Lee Duncan, 96, passed away at her home, May 30, 2014, following several years of declining health. She was one of six children born to the late Ernest and Gladys Hudson of Pulaski County. Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Oakley M. Duncan of Pulaski, two sisters, Sara Farmer and Margaret Lundy and a brother Ernest Hudson Jr. Mrs. Duncan was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pulaski having served as Church financial secretary for some 30 plus years. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ellen Dawson and husband, Jay, of Kinston, N.C.; one granddaughter, Cindy D. McNaull, of Charlotte N.C.; and two sisters, Carol Cox and husband, Jim, of Rural Retreat and Barbara Stoots, of Dunedin, Fla.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2 Fifth Street N.W., Pulaski, Va. with Pastor Terrie Sternberg officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until the service at the Church. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Abiding Memorial Fund, 2 Fifth Street NW, Pulaski Va. 24301 or to the charity of ones’ choice.
