Duncan, Marie Simmons

Marie Simmons Duncan, 61, of Shawsville, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, James Howery “Cotton” Simmons. Marie was employed by Kmart in Christiansburg.

She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Duncan; her mother, Dorothy W. Simmons; son, Chris Duncan; grandson, Tyler Duncan; granddaughter, Taylor Duncan; brother, Ronnie Simmons and wife Barbara and their family; and brother-in-law, Larry Duncan and his family.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Heather Brooks and the staff of Blue Ridge Cancer Center and the nurses and staff of Lewis Game Montgomery for their caring and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a local cancer association of your choice.
