Duncan, Lethia Scott,

Lethia Scott Duncan, age 95, of Newport, Goodwins Ferry died, Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. she was born in McCoy Virginia on May 10, 1919 to the late Harry Hamilton and Susan Nena Sifford Scott. Lethia with her husband Edgar Duncan owned and operated the New River Park for over 38 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Watson Duncan and a daughter Shirley Susan Scott, brother Bobby B. Scott, two sisters Christine S. Scadron, Goldia Reisert and sister-in-law, Gloria Scott and brothers-in-law, Charlie Reisert and Hubert Scadron.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Cleo and Kenneth Beachum, of Toano, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Dudley and Faye Scott, of McCoy; sister-in-law, Nancy Scott, of Blacksburg; ; numerous nieces and nephews special friends Mary Williams, June McCoy, nephew Andrew Duncan, and her friends from the New River Park, and Heritage Hall Health Care.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth “Kim” Beachum and David Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Family Cemetery, McCoy. the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
