Duncan, Duane Thomas

Duane Thomas Duncan, 45, of Snowville, Va., went to be with the Lord at his home on Sunday, January 3, 2010. Duane was born on October 10, 1964, in Montgomery County, Va., and was a son of Rodna Thomas Duncan and Eva Grace Lytton Duncan of Snowville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Ann Earles; and dearest friend, Steven Cook.

Duane was a former chef at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

Besides his parents, he is survived by Ricky and Wanda Duncan, of White Gate, Pearisburg, Va.; one sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and William Ratcliffe, of Fairlawn, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Indian Valley Church of God in Indian Valley, Va., with the Rev. Kenneth Poston officiating. Burial will follow in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery in Indian Valley, Va. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday one hour before the service from noon to 1 p.m.
