Duncan, Bobbie Jean Morefield
Bobbie Jean Morefield Duncan, 76, of Dublin, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Kenneth Duncan; daughter, Lisa Diane Duncan; parents, Irvin “Doc” and Elsie A. Morefield; siblings, Darrell Morefield, James Morefield, Jerry “Jay” Morefield, Margaret Abel, Mildred Williams, Betty Gaston, and Wanda Hancock. Bobbie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister, who consistently put the needs of others above herself. Although she worked outside the home for several years, she felt that being a caregiver for her family and friends was her most important role. She is survived by a son, Michael Duncan of Charleston, SC; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Boadwine of Pulaski; two grandsons, Josh Boadwine and Adam Boadwine; sister, Patsy Ballinger of Clifton; and sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jack Livesay of Pulaski; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends and family members. The family extends its sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Carilion Hospice for their loving care of Bobbie. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski. A Memorial Service will immediately follow with Pastor Johnny Howlett officiating. Graveside Service will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Highland Memory Garden, Dublin. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society , 2840 Electric Rd.
