Duncan, Barry Paul

Barry Paul Duncan, 23, of Check, Va., passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 29, 2007. Preceded in death by his grandfather, George William Duncan, he is survived by his parents, Ronnie Dale and Sheila M. Duncan of Check; sister, Chelsey Duncan of the home; his fiancee, Traci McDougal of Snowville; grandmothers, Dorothy Duncan of Riner and Barbara Lambert of Galax; a special friend who he treated and thought of as a grandfather, Leon Black of Fries; aunts and uncles, Margaret Vaughan of Galax, Becky and Carmie Joyce of Laurel Fork and William and Sandra Duncan of Riner; cousins, Chris and Jena Duncan and William Duncan, Jr., all of Riner, Lori and Chancey Sheppard of Radford, Angie and Sherman Dean of Pulaski, Amanda Vaughan of Galax, Ashley Joyce and Brandon Joyce of Laurel Fork; special friend, Sgt. Danny Burroughs of Radford.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
