Arnold David Duncan, 72, of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a retired employee of Radford University and attended Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Beatrice Duncan; brothers, Garfield and Jack; sisters, Opal, Ruby and Mamie; and stepson, Victor Cline Phillips. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Lucille S. Duncan of Christiansburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Richard Dowdy of Riner, and Linda and Warren Flinchum of Snowville; grandchildren, Aaron Dowdy, J.T. and Amber Flinchum, Samantha Owens and Tito Phillips; great-grandchildren, Maggie Owens, Marta T. Phillips, David Phillips and Adele Phillips; daughter-in-law, Lotus Phillips of Roanoke; and many other extended family members and friends.

The family would like to especially thank Advanced Home Health Services, who lovingly helped our family through this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Stacy Cope and the Rev. Craig Reed officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the Snowville Baptist Church Cemetery.
