Dudley, Donald Lee

Donald Lee Dudley, 69, of Radford, Va., died on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Heritage Hall Health Care Center. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on August 30, 1940, to the late Vaughn and Opal Dudley and was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Randell Dudley; a son-in-law, Larry Earl Sowers; and a brother, Mike Dudley.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lois Loan Dudley, of Radford; four daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Mike McCoy, Rhonda Sowers, Cynthia Bishop and fiance, David Hardwick, all of Christiansburg, and Vickie and Jim Shores, of Alexandria; two sons, Kevin Dudley and special friend, Pam Hyland, of Christiansburg, and Garry Dean Loan, of Radford; a sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Gary Sparks, of Radford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Barbara Dudley, of Roanoke, and J.C. and Nancy Dudley, of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Michael S. McCoy, Matt McCoy, Ashley Sowers, Travis Sowers, Brittney Sowers, Stephanie Bishop, Daniel Shores, Laura Shores, Chris Woolwine, and Gerald Loan; great-grandchildren, Alexis Sowers, Kaylee Bishop, Xavier Sowers, and Cole Woolwine; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in the Belview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Aaron Fitch and the Rev. Sebert Rorrer officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church.
