Drummond, John Ross

Mr. John Ross Drummond, of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the age of 65 from a short battle with liver cancer. John was born in Hagerstown, Md., June 1952 the son of the late John F. “Jack” and Maxine Drummond. He was employed with Hercules (ATK) for almost 30 years. After moving back to Christiansburg, he owned The Inn at Hans Meadow where he enjoyed being an innkeeper. John also loved the many friendships he made while working at Bucko’s Pantry and Super Dollar. Survived by sons, John Ross Drummond, Jr. (Elsha), and William Thomas Drummond; grandchildren, Will, Lucy, Jack, and Drew; and sister, Nancy Gressmen (Bob). A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duke Hospice at Hock Family Pavilion
