Draughn, C. L.

C.L. (Buddy) Draughn, age 77, of Blacksburg, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021. He was born in Pennington Gap, VA on October 15, 1943 to the late Curtis W. And Ruby Bruner Draughn. Buddy and his wife, Phyllis owned and operated CL Draughn Ditching, Inc. for over 49 years.

He is survived by his wife of 55 1/2 years, Phyllis Ayers Draughn; sister, Mary Alice Thompson; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Denise Draughn, Ricky Draughn; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice Ayers, Gayle and Charles Jackson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dane and Anna Ayers, Doyle and Linda Ayers; special friend, Mike Payne; multiple friends and employees; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Hylton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
