Doyle, Sr., Wayne

Wayne Doyle Sr., 90, of Brandon, Fla., passed away Saturday, June 30, 2019. Born in Pulaski, Va., Wayne spent many years in Sanford, Fla.

Wayne Sr. was a hardworking man with foresight. He worked his way through the newspaper business, starting out with the printing press at The Southwest Times in Pulaski, Va. He ended his career as the publisher for The Sanford Herald in Sanford, Fla. He served his community as an elder in the Presbyterian Church and on the board of directors for the Salvation Army in Sanford.

Wayne was extremely proud of his late son, Wayne Doyle Jr. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Lena, along with his granddaughters, Kristen Doyle Draganac, Kathryn Doyle Rincon, great-grandson, and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Doyle. Wayne also leaves behind an extended family, including his brother, Wilburn Doyle.

Services are July 15 at 2:30 p.m. at National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
