Dowell, Julia McDaniel

Julia Ann McDaniel Dowell, age 68 of Pulaski, died early Friday morning October 30, 2015. She was born on May 9, 1947 in Dublin, and was the daughter of the late Mable Keister McDaniel and Paul McDaniel. She was a member of the New Dublin Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her her husband; Thomas Spencer Dowell; son, Thomas Spencer Dowell, II, a brother Paul Wilson McDaniel, Jr, and a sister, Catherine (Fern) Killen.

She is survived by two sons; John Chapman Dowell and his wife Pam of Fairlawn, and Michael Dean Dowell of Pulaski: a daughter, Catherine JoAnn Dowell of Roanoke: two sisters; Francis McDaniel Costigan and her husband Charlie of Christiansburg, and Genevieve Albert and her husband Terry of Dublin. She is also survived by three grandchildren; James Michael Dowell and his wife Jamie, Casie Marie Dowell, and Chandler Spencer Dowell, and four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Renee Dowell, Aidyn James Dowell, Emily Grace Martin, Aliyah Inze Mae Miller.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
