Dowdy, Sherill Ashley

Sherill Ashley Dowdy, 29, of Blacksburg passed away unexpectedly Christmas Day, December 25, 2013 in Blacksburg. Ashley was born on February 10, 1984 in Radford, Va.

Ashley is survived by her partner, Matt Price and their three beautiful children, Mason, Max and Maddox. She is also preceded in death by her uncle, Christopher Underwood Leach. Ashley is survived by her mom, Sherill Ruth Leach and her loving step-dad, Dean Keith; her father, Michael Dowdy and special step-mom, Kathy Dowdy; her very special sweet baby brother, Joshua Michael Dowdy and fiance, Stephanie Garcia and their girls. Also surviving are her ever endearing grandparents, Nancy and Woody Leach – her “Baboo and PaPa”. Her other grandparents whom she adored, Bobby and Irene Dowdy; her favorite aunt, Susan Borenstein and her cousins, Zach, Elyse, and Leah. Borenstein; her aunt and uncle Gary and Pam Dowdy; very special friend and nanny Pat – Patricia Atkins; and all of Ashley’s special animal family too.

Memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends following the service.
