Roy Elliott (Butchie) Dowdy, 63, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Nancy Wood and Martha Martin; stepfather, Marvin Roop; stepbrothers, Jimmy and Trish Roop, Larry and Sharon Roop, and Jackie Roop; two nieces; two nephews; one special loving niece, Patty Duncan; and very special friend, John Radford.

There will be no funeral or viewing.
