Dowdy, Mary Caldwell Cook

Mary (Molly) Caldwell Cook, 92, of Blacksburg, died Friday, March 24, 2006 at Radford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on August 2, 1913 to the late Fred and Myrtle Caldwell Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Dowdy.

She is survived by nephews and their wives, William F. “Bill” and Bessie Cook of Blacksburg, Tony and Carol Johnston of Dublin; special great-niece, Joy C. Dunford of Blacksburg; special great-great-niece, Stacey Price Akers of Blacksburg; and several greatnieces and nephews, and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 4 p.m. in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg, with Mr. Jim Flaugher officiating. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
