Dowdy, Judy Roark

Judy Roark Dowdy, 76, of Blacksburg passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017. She retired from the Town of Blacksburg in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Sterling and Eva Roark; sister, Jo Leach; brother, Jimmy Roark; niece, Lisa Baldwin; and several loving uncles and aunts. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Clarence R. (Duke) Dowdy, Jr.; her son, Clarence (Lance) R. Dowdy, III and daughter-in-law, Alison; three grandchildren, Clay, Paul and Charlotte; sister, Janet Hatfield of Radford; brother, Jene Roark; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Sutphin and Nellie Mitchem.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home with the Pastor Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if donations are made to Blacksburg Christian Church, 240 Watson Ave, Blacksburg, VA 24060.
