Dowdy, Dora Jane Williston

Dora Jane Williston Dowdy, age 78, of Christiansburg died, Monday, June 2, 2014, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Charleston, WV. on March 5, 1936. She joined the Love of her life, her husband, Robert H. Dowdy, her father, Lorenzo Williston, her mother, Anna Bell Campbell Taylor, her sister, Peggy Williston, step son, Scotty Wayne Dowdy.

She was a member of Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Kathryn Smith, Karen Quesenberry, Pam and Larry Criner, Tina Harris, Renee Smith, all of Christiansburg, step daughter, Doris Ann King, sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Susan Smith, Daniel and Santana Dowdy, all of Christiansburg, step sons, Robert L. Dowdy and Michael S. Dowdy, twelve grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, sisters, Virginia Jarrells, Dorothy Robinson, Donna Smith, brothers, James Williston, Dow Junior Williston, Charles Edward Williston.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry Shepherd and Rev. Clayton Kipps officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
