Dove, Thelma Yopp

Thelma Yopp Dove, 89, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Highland Ridge Rehab Center. She was born in Ironto on March 15, 1923, to the late Lewis and Gracie Ethel Stewart Warden. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wesley Dove, Earnest L. Dove; two sisters, Blanch Hinkle and Violet Dunkin; three brothers, Clem Warden Fuzz Yopp, Milton Yopp, and Harvey Yopp; grandson, Kenneth Dove; great-great grandson, Jacob. She is survived by her, daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy D. and Jack Shepherd, of Blacksburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Wesley and Marie Dove, of Hillsville, Wallace W. and Tease Dove, of Christiansburg, sister, Dulcie Trimble, of Ironto; three brothers, Samuel (Bill) Yopp, Donald Yopp, both of Shawsville, Frank Yopp, of Eastview, Ky.; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
