Harley Q. (Butch) Dove Jr., 55, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 15, 2011, at his home in Fairlawn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmit and Stella Dove, Fred Williams, and Carolyn Ford; and aunts, Frances Williams and Betty Hinkle. Surviving are parents, Harley Q. (Pete) Dove and Alene Dove; Harley’s long time girlfriend, Joyce Brown and her children, Sandy and Larry Woolridge, of Tennessee, Angie and Ron Brun, of Pulaski, Kimberly and Mike Breeden, of Salem; her grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Chad Woolridge, of Tennessee, Heather Warden, of Pulaski, and Terrell Brugh, of Salem; uncles and aunts, Fred Williams, of Christiansburg, Douglas and Katherine DeHart and Betty Joe Davidson, all of Salem; and several cousins. Harley loved all children and grandchildren as his own. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Horne Funeral Service. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Harvey and the Rev. Olen Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery.
