Donathan, Jerry Wayne

Jerry Wayne Donathan, 69, of Cascade Drive in Pembroke, departed this life Friday evening, June 6, 2014 at Lewis Gale Hospital Salem. Born in Giles County on September 28, 1944 he was a son of the late Edgar Vadis and Elsie Georgine Turpin Donathan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna Bell Cumbee Donathan, his brother Curtis Donathan, his sister Drema Reynolds, and an infant son Jings Donathan.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son Wayne Junior Donathan of the home; his daughter Shirley Ann Moore of Pearisburg; his three grandchildren: his brothers Steve Donathan of Ripplemead and Larry Donathan of Pembroke; his sisters Flora Conley of Galax and Brenda Donathan of Floyd.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. The Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
