Donathan, Dora Lawson

Dora Lawson Donathan, 68, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009, at her home in Richmond. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Gail Lawson. Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Lawson; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Larry Griffith, Floyd; sons and daughter-in-law, Freddie Sutphin, Midlothian, Va., James and Tina Lawson, William Sutphin, Dennis Sutphin, all of Richmond, Va.; sisters , Ruth Weeks, Sue Weeks and husband, Johnny, Floyd, Geraldine Porterfield and husband, John, Roanoke, Irene Jones and husband, Kenny, Christiansburg; brothers, Buddy Lawson and wife, Daisy, Kenneth Lawson and wife, Dorothy, all of Christiansburg; Melvin Lawson, Richmond; nine grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. She loved spending her time taking care of elderly persons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in the Horne Funeral Chapel with interment in the Belmont Cemetery, Christiansburg, Va.
