Dobbins, Sylvia Harris

Sylvia Harris Dobbins, 90, of Radford, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 just 18 days from her 91st birthday. She attended Indian Valley Primitive Baptist Church, retired from Burlington Mills and was a devoted homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Golden Pierce and Josephine Millie Duncan Harris, her husband, William Ray Dobbins, her brothers, Friel and Ervin Harris, and her sister, Goldie Turpin.

She is survived by her son and his daughter-in-law, Douglas Ray and Sharon Dobbins of Hillsville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Elder Lowell Hopkins and Elder Thomas Pegram officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
