Dobbins, Ralph L.

Ralph L. Dobbins, 86, of Christiansburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 20, 2021. He was born on March 27, 1935 in Radford, VA to the late Luey Fuqua and Mattie Carroll Dobbins. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Alfred Darrell Dobbins, Mary Alice Dobbins Moore, and Melvin Ray Dobbins.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 60 years, Estelle Shelburne Dobbins; his son, Craig (Lori) Dobbins; grandchildren, Conner, Ella, and Kaitlyn Dobbins, Cody Dunford, and Caleb Brumfield; sister, Lucille Dobbins Newman; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Ralph went to Radford High School and after graduating, served in the Virginia Army National Guard. He was a member of Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, as well as the Blue Ridge Model A Club. Besides watching and collecting old western films, he loved life and enjoyed his family and friends.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. in the Chapel, with Rev. Don Makin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
