Dillard, Elmer Lee

Elmer Lee Dillard, 98, of Elliston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.

Elmer is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Dillard; children, Brenda and Doug Yopp of Salem, VA, Darlene and Steve Evers of Chandler, AZ, Lee and Diania Dillard of Willis, VA, Barbara Dillard and Debra Dillard, both of Elliston, VA; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elmer was a Veteran of World War II and was retired from the Veterans Hospital.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their care of Elmer.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery.
