Dilello, Joyce Smith

Joyce Smith Dilello, 82, of Christiansburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was born on July 9, 1939 to the late John and Amanda Link Smith of Newport VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Dilello; and siblings, John Smith, Jerry Smith, Roger Smith all of Newport, VA, James ‘Jimmy’ Smith of Riner, June Kerr of Narrows.

Joyce is survived by three children, Sheree Wimmer (Carl), Susan Anderson (Tony), Tony Davis (Teresa) all of Christiansburg; step-children, Dawn Flippo (David) of Las Vegas, NV and Anthony Dilello of Roanoke. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Iris Smith of Roanoke and Patsy Vaught (Charlie) of Salem; 9 grandchildren, Jason Atkins (Lori), Aaron Wimmer (Mellie), Brandi Witt (Jake), Jessica Akers (Eric), Amanda Campbell (TJ), Tiffany Hylton, Tracy Davis (John), Sean Flippo (Hannah), Ryan Flippo (Niki); 12 great-grandchildren, Blake Long, Alexis Cox, Landen Wimmer, Jameson Witt, Jolie Witt, Justin Campbell, Tristin Campbell, Novella Hylton, Liam Flippo, Clayton Flippo, Eliza Flippo, and Kaylen Flippo; as well as her special friend, Joyce Keith of Riner.

Joyce enjoyed working and was retired from Hubbell Lighting in Christiansburg and from Wolverine Gasket Co in Blacksburg. Joyce will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Hylton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
