David Jay Didio, 58 of Christiansburg, Va., died suddenly at home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Born in Worcester, Mass. on December 31, 1959, he was raised in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

He was a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and held a graduate degree from Creighton University. David was a United State Navy aviator with ten years of active service. He retired from the Naval Reserve with the rank of Commander. He worked for ten years in the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond as an information technology expert. Recently, he was a partner in a successful home improvement business.

He is survived by his mother, Edie Didio of Englewood, Fla.; special friend, Shea Inman and his business partner. He also leaves his beloved dog (Katahdin); his horse, (Chance); and his cat, (Teddy) who have all been placed in loving homes.

David is remembered by a large circle of friends and satisfied customers. He was known for his cheerful disposition, his kindness, sense of humor, his loyalty to friends, his love of animals and his excellent cooking.
