Dickerson, William “Duck”

William “Duck” Michael Dickerson, age 69, of Christiansburg died, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on October 30, 1946 to the late William Ray and Blanche Lorraine Hall Dickerson.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jearls Dickerson of Christiansburg; daughters and son-in-law, Christy and Philip Moulton of Christiansburg, Ginger Dickerson and fiancé, Curtis Albert of Radford; son and daughter-in-law, Leslie Michael and Yahaira Dickerson of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Courtney, Madison, Jason, Payton, Kaleb, Sofia; one great-grandchild to come; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leslie and Lois Jarrells of McCoy, David Jearls of Christiansburg; other special relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank these special people for all their love and care during Mike’s illness, Good Samaritan Hospice, Nurse Cindy Heath and all of their neighbors and church friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Layne Board and Pastor Craig Reed officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, Norris Run, VA. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, 150 Country Club Dr., SW, Blacksburg, VA.
