Dickerson, Nathern (Buford)

Nathern Harvey (Buford) Dickerson, 75, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his daughters home in Princeton, West Virginia. Buford was born July 5, 1942 in Montgomery County, Virginia to the late William and Icie (Martin) Dickerson. He was preceded in death by his wife he loved dearly, Helen(Bryant) Dickerson. Buford lived in Montgomery County all his life and retired from the Town of Christiansburg. He was the last of his immediate family. He is survived by his two daughters, Sandra (Dickerson) Wade and husband, Roger of Princeton, WV., Alice Dickerson and spouse, Dale Drouillard of Christiansburg, VA., special grandson(son) who he raised Lee Wheeling of the home. He also had seven other grandchildren he loved so much, Lewis (Willie) Dickerson of Christiansburg, VA., Scott Radford Jr., Christiansburg, Harley Dickerson and Chloe Crowder of Princeton, WV., Kelli, Courtney and Kassie Curry of Burlington, NC., seven great grandchildren, Nate, Claiton, James, Issiah, Lily, Maddy and Taelynn, several nieces and nephews, special sister in-law, Dorothy Dickerson of Christiansburg, VA, special friends, Angie and Kim. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Martin and Rev. Randy Woolwine officiating. Interment will follow in the Linkous Family Cemetery, Merrimac, Va. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm prior to the service. Absent in body, but present in spirit… 1 Corinthians 5:3.
