Dennis, Sr., Thomas Edward

Thomas Edward Dennis, Sr., 77, slipped away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Tom joins his son Neal, parents Edith & Ray Neely, brother Carl Lyle, in laws Raymond (Ernestine) Bradley Jeffery Bradley.

Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years Darleen, daughters Patty Dennis, Michelle Crumley (Brian), Rachael Wheeler (Chad), sons Thomas and James, siblings Patricia Walker, Carol Ballard, James Dennis and Allen Neely, grandchildren Shayla Dennis, Cayla Robertson (Chad), Logan Dennis, Sgt. Tyler Dennis Wheeler, Emilee Dennis, Matthew Wheeler, and brothers-in-law Walter and Jack Bradley (Cheri ) and many nieces and nephews. Tom also leaves behind his special light, great grandson Liam and his four legged baby, Precious.

Tom was a lifelong resident of Narrows and an active member of the IBEW for 50 years, retiring from New River Electric in 2002. Anyone who knew Tom knew how much he cherished his family and loved the valley.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Riffe-Givens Funeral Home in Narrows. Funeral services will be held at New Valley Fellowship, Narrows on Friday, November 30 at 11:00 am with Kevin Weaver officiating with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
