Dehart, Virginia Lou Bratton

dehart_virginia_brattonVirginia (Gents) Lou Bratton Dehart, 93, of Pulaski, Va., went to be with the Lord February 27, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 5, 1916, to the late Willie Sue Roop and Jessie James Bratton. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Dehart, brothers, Charlie (Son) Bratton, Clyde Bratton, James Louie Bratton, Guy (Bruzz) Bratton and William Luther Bratton, sisters, Florence Waller, Roberta (Bertie) Clark, Elizabeth Wright, and Mary Bell Bratton. Surviving are daughters, Betty and Richard Thompson, of Pulaski, Patsy and Larry Roope, of Pulaski; brothers, Brown and Hazel Bratton, of Radford, Robert and Bee-Bee Bratton, of Christiansburg; sisters, Estelle Wright, of Pulaski, Martha Eads, of Dublin, Colleen and Albert Lucion, of Dublin, Bonnie and Tom Whisman, of Dublin; grandchildren, Marie Thompson, John Thompson, Charlie and Wendy Roope, Brian Roope and special friend, Violet Davis; great-grandchildren, Eden and Will Biggs, JT and Rheannon Thompson, Chaz, Zach, and Alex Roope; and special little lady Heidi. The family would like to thank Carilion Clinic Hospice NRV and a special thanks to Dr. Kaatz for his loving care through the years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 2, 2010 at 11a.m. from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Terri Sternberg officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.
