DeHart, Theresa Jonell

Theresa Jonell DeHart (“Jo”), of Blacksburg, passed away on February 27, 2019. She was born October 27, 1934. Jo was predeceased by her husband, Maynard.

She is survived by daughter, Ila Rye, of Blacksburg and daughter Carla Whitaker and her husband, Randy, her grandson Brent Whitaker and his wife, Monica, and grandson, Reagan Whitaker, all of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her sister, Jennifer Crawford and sister-in-law, Jane Johnston, both of New Castle, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jo was a long time member of Blacksburg Christian Church where she was organist for many years.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11:00 am at Blacksburg Christian Church with the Reverend Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Blacksburg.

Memorials may be made to Blacksburg Christian Church, 240 Watson Lane, Blacksburg, VA. 24060 or to Good Samaritan Hospice, 1160 Moose Drive, Christiansburg, VA. 24073. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Friday, March 8, 2019 at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
