Deck, Opal Underwood

Opal Virginia Underwood Deck, age 88 of Dublin passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born August 25, 1918 in Pulaski County she was the daughter of the late Charlie Thomas & Lucy Davis Underwood.

Her husband; Lee J. Deck, brothers; Richard & Clifford Underwood, sisters; Nina Underwood, Myrtle Rigney, step-children; Bill Deck, Wanda Roseberry, grandson; William Lee White and great grandson; Trinity Lucas also preceded her in death. She was an active member of the Dublin United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Bill Rowland officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be anytime after 2 p.m. Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski. Friends are also welcome at the home of Virginia White (417 Giles Avenue, Dublin).
