Dean, Stanley Gardner

Stanley Gardner Dean, 49, of Pearisburg, Va., passed from this life to be with his Heavenly Father, Wednesday evening, February 3, 2010, at Montgomery Regional Hospital after a long illness. Born in Pearisburg on May 23, 1960, he was a son of William Dean, of Pearisburg, and the late Lillian Dickerson Dean. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Lynn Dean. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, William Dean and Dorine Merrix, of Pearisburg; his sister and brother-in-law, Teressa and George Austin, of Pembroke; his brother, Darrell Dean and Tammy Phillippi, of Radford; his special caregiver, Chris Carter and family, of Christiansburg; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church in Pembroke with the Rev James Cooper and the Rev. Larry Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the church from noon until 2 p.m. before the services.
