Dean, Mallie Crowder

Mallie Crowder Dean, 93, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Friday morning, March 5, 2010, in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Wythe County, Va. June 9, 1916, the daughter of the late H.D. and Minnie Fleming Crowder. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Effie Mabe, Gracie Gravley and Lomie Hancock; and a grandson, Tim Bundy. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy D. and Garland J. Bundy; grandson, Stephen Bundy; granddaughter and husband, Jill and Rodney Beville; greatgrandson, Ethan Beville, greatgranddaughter, Courtney Beville; sisters and brother-in-law, Myrtle Austin, Scottie Crowder and Velma and Foster Beasley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Forrest and Frances Crowder and Martin and Jean Crowder; long time family friend, Loretta Umberger; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday March 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Brother Carl Cecil officiating. Burial will follow in Thorn Spring Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday from 1 until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial gifts be given to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
