Janet Faye Dean, 80, of Givens Lane in Blacksburg, departed this life Thursday morning, April 13, 2017 at her home in the care of Medi Hospice. Born at Newport on August 12, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Mike M. and Carrie Price Breen. She was proud to have been an RN and served at Bedford Hospital, Montgomery Regional Hospital and at Virginia Beach. She confessed to being a Christian as a member of Sherry Memorial Christian Church on Mt Lake Road near her homeplace and dearly loved her home and all the little touches she would put in place. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Everette S. Dean.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Ignacio Cossentino of Virginia Beach; her grandchildren Stephen Cossentino, Anthony Cossentino, and Maria Cossentino all of Virginia Beach; and a host of cousins and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 17, 2017, at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 2 pm before the services.
